In what was once a farm shed and workshop enjoy, upon request, a large kitchen with a cozy common room that overlooks a beautiful courtyard with barbecue facilities. It is an ideal place for dinner with friends or just to enjoy a nice glass of local wine. The swimming pool (6x16m) allows you to relax in the sun, but there is no shortage of more active pursuits: the riding school with an Italian Equestrian Sports Federation-certified instructor, downhill moto cross biking, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching on Lake San Liberato and the airfield for ultralight airplanes.

Our cooking classes are not about achieving 'Haute Cuisine' but rather about rediscovering and enjoying together the traditional peasant dishes of the Umbrian countryside.
Lessons can be organised to suit the time you have available.However, we thoroughly recommend that you dont miss our 'Tasty Weekend'!
Each lesson takes place in a friendly and relaxing environment accompanied by music. Participants will create their dishes together with the chef and it will be an enjoyable and fun experience. Handouts will be given in Italian or English explaining all the recipes and processes.

Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil: The Art of Tasting
Tour and Tasting with an expert.
Programme: Extra Virgin Olive Oil....What is it?
Classification of oils on the market; Strengths and weaknesses; Its use in the kitchen; Tasting techniques. Guided tasting of three samples. How does it work? Production techniques and preservation.
 
Happy Hour: Bruschettas with extra virgin olive oil accompanied by typical local cold meats and Umbrian wine.
Relax and dine at your leisure (not included in the package).

Afternoon. Guided tour of the old oil port of Otricoli. Here the Romans built their second busiest port on the River Tiber. An archaeological site that will surprise you!

'Hands in the Dough'
Saturday from 14.30 to 17.30
Baking Class. Each participant will receive a free packet of yeast and wholemeal flour from the Azienda Agricola Calledro. The procedures in making homemade bread with olives, nuts and pepper will bbe demonstrated.
Buffet lunch at the 'Taste Workshop' Podere Calledro.
Afternoon relaxation and dining at your leisure.(not included in package)

Course on the Art of Pizza and its ingredients.
The dough, the 'Staglio' and the rising.
Preparation , seasoning and cooking in your own home.Tasting of pizzas accompanied by delicious locally brewed beers.

SAN LIBERATO NATURE RESERVE
Calledro Farm is located inside the San Liberato nature reserve, made up of a reservoir of approximately 100 hectares, built in 1953 to generate hydroelectric power on the waters of the Black River. The lake is an important staging area along the migratory routes of various species of birds. Nearly 170 species of birds call the reserve home, including swans, herons, great crested grebes, hawks, egrets and knights of Italy. It is an important center for ornithology and nature photography.
